Are you running NetworkManager? If not, you can try a version of Ubuntu
One that works for users not using NetworkManager by following the steps
listed here: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-

If you are using NetworkManager, Ubuntu One can't seem to get the status
from NetworkManager to know if Ubuntu is connected to the network or
not. You might want to ensure you have a network connection. If you do,
can you let me know what kind of network connection you have (wireless,
wired, etc.)?
