I also installed backports, and for me it doesnt solve the problem :( and for the people still fighting with the GMA, use this Karmic PPA: https://launchpad.net/~lucazade/+archive/ppa in combination with the ubuntu-mobile Jaunty PPA (https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mobile/+archive/ppa)
