Situation Solved with Jaunty and Karmic Further tests on hardy, show that the machine check exception appeared also with very high I/0 on local disk as with large files transfert on NFS. This was for all kernels after 2.6.24.19 on hardy.
In order to evaluate the hardwdare expenses for a migration for next LST coming next april I finally decided to leave Hardy LST and make some test on Jaunty and Karmic with the very same hardware. The fact is, that even if I push harder on the systems for nfs and/or for local disk activities than before, the Machine Check exception that rized a flag for hardware error does not appears at all. So problem solve without changing hardware.
