One main features removed from gdm, is the possibility to log in from the gdm login screen. This was an important feature, that should not have been removed.
Also, GDMSetup is reduced to only configuring automatic login. All other settings are removed, including the option to enable remote log in from GDMSetup. This feature, togehter with te possibbilty to configure GDM's look, themes, should not have been removed.
