Thank you for working on it. It is always possible that it could be the SMTP provider (live.smtp.com) but I had the same problem in 9.04 so I made the switch to Thunderbird and I did not have the problem in Thunderbird. On my other laptop with XP and OE6 it works fine from there as well.
