It doesn't work with Ubuntu i386 too. I have tried it using the Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit live CD. I don't have the 32-bit edition of Ubuntu 9.10. Its not an Ubuntu specific bug either. I've tried other Live CDs too, but I can't get the audio to work on the Dell 1450.
