Hi --

Just got done creating and booting from a liveCD of Karmic (9.10
release), and unfortunately the problem is still present. Below is key
data showing the successful boot of Karmic and that kacpid was consuming
65% of CPU0 Time still.

Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:04:26 UTC
2009 i686 GNU/Linux

USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND
root 19 65.9 0.0 0 0 ? R< 20:58
6:40 [kacpid]
root 20 7.5 0.0 0 0 ? S< 20:58
 0:45 [kacpi_notify]

Is there anything more I can do to with this problem? Creating liveCD's
takes a long time do the poor down load speed I get on my old DSL modem
(~ 7hours for 700M file, which I do at night).

thanks...
-Nate
