Since the link says: >> First, check if there is a package with a -dbg suffix in the main Ubuntu >> repositories. These are the debug symbol packages, and are equivalent to >> '-dbgsym' described below. You can safely use either one, but not both at >> once.<<
I've installed totem-dbg; gdb was already installed. (I didn't like the idea to add lots of repositories for dbgs.) But the terminal output said: Reading symbols from /usr/bin/totem...Reading symbols from /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/totem...done. (no debugging symbols found)...done. When the window greyed out and interface was unresponsive I've pressed ctrl+c, as advised in Backtrace. ** Attachment added: "gdb-totem.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36947907/gdb-totem.txt -- interface unresponsive when loading YouTube Video https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497932 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
