I just got a netbook and have been using Firefox in fullscreen mode for real-estate without realizing I have missed many of my colleagues' messages to their ire. Will this behavior be reversed in Karmic at all? Or will I have to compile my own notify-osd to resolve this while waiting for Lucid?
Why can't there be at least an option for something like this which obviously will not be universally accepted decision based on the lengthy discussion on Ayatana?
