I can remove the icon, or the menu item. Or install them in a second
package or something.
I'm biased, of course, but I really like the icon, and the menu item, so
I'm not the most objective judge. I find it really useful to be able to
launch byobu from the Applications menu. And it's intended to be a
"friendlier" version of the console. Note that we do have the Terminal
in the Accessories menu. I have separately proposed that we expose a
checkbox in the preferences menu in gnome-terminal that would launch
Byobu by default, when you open a terminal. This is nice because your
shell sessions will persist after logouts, or through X crashes and
such.
