Okay, thanks again. Here is a zip of the strace. When I run the first gdb command as you have it, I get this:
"/usr/bin/soffice": not in executable format: File format not recognized After the next three lines, I get: Starting program: No executable file specified. Use the "file" or "exec-file" command. I tried run soffice but that gave me this: Starting program: soffice No executable file specified. Use the "file" or "exec-file" command. If it makes any difference, the "soffice" in /usr/bin is a link to a shell script in /usr/lib/openoffice/program. Sorry to be such a pain. I am not, as you might have guessed, the most advanced Ubuntu user. ** Attachment added: "strace-soffice.log.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36980916/strace-soffice.log.gz -- open office crashes when switching with firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498007 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
