Please try removing all partitions on the key using gparted, then run
usb-creator on that disk.
Does this resolve the problem?
If not please upload ~/.usbcreator.log and run the following command:
$ apport-collect 486754
** Changed in: usb-creator (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
