on sound blaster audigy 4 there is no sound except front left/right channels.
moreover the card itself is not properly recognized, below is output of lspci |

same as dmesg | grep Audigy
[17179590.104000] Audigy2 value: Special config.
Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'alsa';
however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
