I'm still affected by this issue, and limiting bandwidth in the client
preferences doesn't seem like it's related, or helpful when I've tried
it.

In my experience, the Ubuntu One client briefly launches, claims to be
updating my files, but uploads none of the items in my Ubuntu One
folder, and then stays permanently in my taskbar with an exclamation
point icon. When I mouse over it, tool-tip text reads, "Disconnected."

When I navigate to the Ubuntu One folder on my desktop and click the
"connect" button, no connection occurs. It doesn't even seem to be
taking long enough to fail properly as the button barely flickers with
an attempt to connect before it returns to it's disconnected state.

All other network functions on my machine are working well, so I'm eager
to resolve this issue, and open to all input.
