Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Clean install of 9.10 on a new HP Pavilion dv7
Sound output is only played through the subwoofer on the laptop. No
sound is played through the standard internal speakers. When external
speakers are plugged into either of the headphone jacks on the system,
the sound continues playing through the internal subwoofer only.
No amount of playing with the controls in the default pulseaudio volume
control seems to affect this. I have also installed aumixer and gnome-
alsamixer and played with all the settings there to no effect.
Attached is the output of sudo lspci -vnvn. Please let me know if there
is anything you would like me to provide or to try.
