Currently it's not possible to do this, because all disk devices have the same 
ownership & permissions.
If you want such a feature, you might better ask that to the udev developers or 
the general .

Also, I don't think everybody should be able to partition every external
disk without permissions (imagine a child repartioning an external disk
that holds backups or such).  And I'm not sure what would be the best
way to determine which external disks & flash keys are "safe" to format
without asking for a password.

I'm closing this bug for now (as there is no way for GParted to fix
this), but if the udev/devicekit people ever find a solution for this,
please feel free to reopen it.
