I have tested the package (I believe, I have version 2:1.0.6+20090405.svn49-1ubuntu7.1). My configuration is
/etc/crypttab: home /dev/sda6 none luks,tries=5 >From /etc/fstab: /dev/mapper/home /home ext4 defaults, nofail, relatime 0 2 With previous cryptsetup I got prompted for password, but it seemed that more than one process where reading my keystrokes, so I had to try several times before it worked. Now I don't even get prompted for password. I get the prompt where I can press ESC and get a maintenance shell (without a password prompt, but thats another story). In that shell I can do a "cryptsetup luksOpen" and finally mount /home. After exiting the shell the boot continues. While the boot requires more steps now, it is much more dependable and I don't have to reboot get my /home mounted. -- cryptsetup init scripts are redundant and can break the boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/473615 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
