Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Cannot change bringhtness at all. The Fn keys seem to work properly because they make appear the brightness indicator on the upper right corner of the screen, but nothing changes actually. The panel brightness applet has the same behaviour: it seems to work but nothing changes. When booting with "acpi_backlight=vendor" grub option no change is noticed on the screen, but the brightness applet says "cannot get laptop panel brightness" instead of the (supposed) brightness level, when the mouse pointer stands over it.
