Indeed it should not be in Apps->System Tools, we do not use this category.
IMHO a default desktop application should not have the menu item in the first place, though. We don't even expect users to use the Terminal, much less explain them what "screen" is. I think the "recommends: byobu" for screen is too much. Recommends means "you really need that unless you know what you are doing" (http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch- relationships.html#s-binarydeps), which is clearly not the case here: screen works just fine without byobu. So I propose that this gets dropped, and instead added to the server seeds? As a fallback alternative, the menu entry (i. e. desktop file) could be NoDisplay=True, and then interested folks could enable the menu entry in the menu editor. That's a bit hard to discover, though, so it might be easier to install the package if you want to use byobu on a desktop? -- byobu menu item exposed in default desktop install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498322 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
