i needed a functional computer, so I re-installed Ubuntu. Currently using 8.10, the best distro I have found of Ubuntu for this computer (Acer 5315), as it is a pain to config WiFi with Karmic, with Intrepid and Jaunty I was unable to detect my nokia cell phone via USB cable .
