Here's the /etc/samba/smb.conf file. I notice it's called smb.conf rather than samba.conf.
It's been the same since I installed Karmic Koala. On previous versions I was able to paste into Windows shared folders. By the way, when I want to go from Windows to Karmic, I have to manually start the samba service using 'sudo service samba start'. I picked this up from a comment on one of the forums.
