Just got a Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 pack for Christmas, same here. GRUB is TOTALLY dead. Yet they Keyboard works in Ubuntu and at CMOS. I'm running x64 Ubuntu 9.10 and Windows 7 Home Premium with latest updates. :/
Seems to be a grub issue as I cannot access the dual boot menu via keyboard arrows.
