To reproduce this bug on my computer I: 1.Opened software center from the terminal. 2.Found a package I wanted to install (In my case it was CompizConfig Setting Manger) 3.Cliked install. 4.Entered my password. 5.Noticed that the application closes, and the terminal says segmentation fault. The package does, however, install.
Other notes:I'm running the x64 version of ubuntu, so it happens on both architectures. I would be glad to use valgrind or gdb to add info to this bug, but I can't seem to get python apps to debug in gdb. I'll see if I can figure out valgrind with python. Question:Is there any debugging packages I should install when I'm trying to collect data on this bug? ** Tags added: and64 ** Tags added: amd64 ** Tags removed: and64 -- Software center Segmentation fault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496137 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
