Have just installed linux-backport-modules-karmic-generic and linux-backport-modules-wireless-karmic-generic, on kernel 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:02:15 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux. Machine's a DV5Z-1000 with Atheros AR928X adapter. Will leave the machine on with Transmission running and report if I encounter any lockups during regular usage.
