Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
If "Wrap Text Automatically" is checked in a cell format, then using the
"Optimal Column Width" feature adds about 3/4" extra white space.
How to reproduce:
1. /usr/bin/oocalc (create new empty spreadsheet)
2. Put a single letter 'x' in cells A1 and B1
3. Select A1; Rightclick->Format Cells...; check Alignment:Wrap text
automatically
4. Select columns A and B; , Rightclick->Optimal Column Width, set "Add" to 0,
OK
Column B shrinks to just wide enough for the letter 'x' (about 1/8 inch).
Column A, however, is about 1 inch wide.
Attached is demo spreadsheet and screen-shot
