Initial edgy install w/ erase entire disk to get:

Invoke update manager, receive 132 updates, crash (see attached:
_usr_bin_update-manager.1000.crash and _usr_sbin_synaptic.0.crash
Also see _usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash. Firefox crashes when
trying to submit initial bug report.
Reboot, run update-manager who says system up to date. Firefox
continues to crash even after another reboot.
