audacity 1.3.9 in Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) is not affected. So the bug is
already fixed.
Either upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) or downgrade the package to
1.3.4. Version 1.3.5 is provided through the karmic-backport.
