Public bug reported: Binary package hint: splashy
Was attempting to use different splash manager after following instructions from Ubuntu Guide. http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Karmic#Compiz_Fusion Change USplash Boot Screen This is the splash screen you see at bootup, when you are asked for a login and password. You can change the USplash screen using the utility startupmanager. (Startup Manager can also be used to change GRUB bootup settings if you use multiple OS's on your computer). Install: sudo apt-get install startupmanager Start: System -> Administration -> Startup Manager You could alternatively use a different splashscreen manager, Splashy, instead of USplash. Install: sudo apt-get install splashy splashy-themes ProblemType: Package Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Dec 30 22:51:15 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ErrorMessage: trying to overwrite '/etc/lsb-base-logging.sh', which is also in package lsb-base 0:4.0-0ubuntu5 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: splashy (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-16.53-generic SourcePackage: splashy Title: package splashy (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/etc/lsb-base-logging.sh', which is also in package lsb-base 0:4.0-0ubuntu5 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic i686 ** Affects: splashy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 -- package splashy (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/etc/lsb-base-logging.sh', which is also in package lsb-base 0:4.0-0ubuntu5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
