On my Mini 9 the symptom is a bit different: I first enabled the free driver which didn't work (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/502433).
After a reboot, I tried to enable the STA driver, but the machine crashed while installing. A black screen was shown with the underline cursor blinking in the upper left corner, and a white hairpin mouse cursor remained on the screen. The touchpad and the keyboard didn't work any more, not even Alt-SysRq combinations (tried K, S, U, B). After power off and bootup the free wifi driver was still in use with the errors described in 502433. -- BUG: Dell Mini 9 wifi driver scheduling while atomic: dbus-daemon/1612/0x00090000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/466109 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
