I had a look at your /etc/fstab, and it does contain the affected device (/media/2747-5097), but it's commented out (as most of those devices), so it shouldn't get in the way.
Can you please unmount the stick/card, log in as your wife, and then do devkit-disks --mount /dev/sde1 mount (or whatever the current device is, check the last couple of lines of "dmesg" after plugging it in). Please copy&paste all output.
