LO - With and without the "pea" kernel, using the backport modules, I got slower transfer rate speeds, as reported by software during downloads, and notification of kernel errors on the desktop - which I didnt forward using the bug report software. These kernel 'crash' errors occurred when booting with either karmic kernel.
