I have not had any problems until a few weeks ago. With the kernel update 2.6.17-11, the wireless stopped working. So I was selecting 2.6.17-10 on boot to get it to work.
The email just reminded me of the earlier problem. So I just now blacklisted prism2_plx in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist. Now the wireless works with 1.6.17-11. I originally just saw the problem with the live CD. But I removed and reloaded kernel modules before I installed edgy to the hard drive. Then everything worked until 2.6.17-11. I have an old Orinoco gold card plugged into a PCI bus adapter. This seems to be very happy with the orinoco_plx module. -- orinoco pcmcia gold fails until prism2_plx is unloaded https://launchpad.net/bugs/67648 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
