Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acpi-support
Install feisty herd 4 on thinkpad t60. Suspend to ram works via fn f4
key combo or by suspending from gnome-power-manager applet. Keep up with
updates until March 1st. Fn f4 key combo no longer suspends the machine.
Gnome power-manager battery applet suspend still works fine. for fn f4
key press /var/log/acpid reports the event as such:
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] received event "ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001004"
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] notifying client 10507[0:0]
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] notifying client 4957[107:112]
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] executing action "/etc/acpi/sleepbtn.sh"
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] BEGIN HANDLER MESSAGES
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] END HANDLER MESSAGES
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] action exited with status 0
[Fri Mar 2 01:15:11 2007] completed event "ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001004"
Could this be a gnome-power-manager problem? i.e.; not getting/accepting the
input from acpid event properly?
