I have the same issue as Panagiotis Ligopsychakis I'm unable to connect to WPA2, WEP, and not encripted WiFi with network- manager. I am able to connect to my router after I switching off encription only using iwconfig manually.
I've tried to connect to WPA2/PSK encripted network both using network manager and running wpa_supplicant with manually written wpa_suplicant.conf. In both cases I was able to obtain IP via DHCP and open one URL in browser. After it connection was lost. NetworkManager shows that everything OK. but pinging any server including router shows "Destination network is unreachable" error message. Here is wpa_supplicant log attached to my comment. ** Attachment added: "log of the command: sudo wpa_supplicant -ieth1 -c/home/vestnik/wpa_supplicant.conf -dd -f /home/vestnik/wpa_supplicant.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37419425/wpa_supplicant.log -- Wifi networks bug in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala): unable to connect to any router, with any encryption: able to connect only via ethernet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/474234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
