Hi weliad,
I don't have one myself, but I believe the situation with firewire
cameras has changed in Karmic--though it's still not perfect. Also, your
bug report actually targets multiple issues (raw1394 module loading,
raw1394 access rights, popup dialog). Furthermore, a bug without a
package will rarely be seen by anyone except for bug triagers like
myself. Due to these three reasons, I am marking this bug as a dupe of
previously-mentioned bug 6290. Please file an additional report (against
kino, I suppose?) if you would also like to see a popup dialog when
plugging in the device.

improve Ubuntu. Please continue to report any other problems you may
find.
