** Description changed:

My NFS server / client setup was working until I changed motherboards on
the server. I went from a P4 400MHz with an add-on Intel Ethernet
  (e1000) gigabit card to a 945GCD-M(1.0) with a Atom 330 and a built in
NIC (Attansic Technology Corp. Device 1063 (rev c0)).

NFS clients are able to mount and "ls" a directory, but when the files
are accessed (for instance copying locally), it will eventually stall
out and the clients will report that the server is not responding.

On the server side, there are no immediate errors visible, but verbose
logging was enabled (rpcdebug -m [all modules] -s all) and then dmesg
gave me the attached info. I don't know much, but the many "svc:
transport %p busy, not enqueued" messages just seem suspicious.

Multiple clients exhibit the same problem when connecting to the server.
Additionally, if on the server I mount an NFS share locally and take the
network out of the picture, there is no problem.

If possible I will try to install the Intel NIC in the server and test
that device to see if the onboard LAN is an issue. Samba, ssh, etc. all
work fine using the onboard LAN so I'm somewhat confident that the
  hardware is healthy.

I also have a thread here:
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1373099 that contains
  supplementary data.

+ My NFS packages are:
+ nfs-common 1:1.2.0-2ubuntu8
+ nfs-kernel-server 1:1.2.0-2ubuntu8
+ portmap 6.0-10ubuntu2
