I have exactly the same problem. Firstly I've installed Ubuntu from a USB stick. The stick was written with alternate iso using USB Startup Disk Creator. At this point Ubuntu was working fine but ignored all USB stick I inserted. But, I had exactly the same issue with Fedora 12 (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=232529). I've managed to fix the problem with Fedora by reinstalling it using grub and iso image located on external HDD (so called HDD install). So, I've tried the same approach with Ubuntu. But with no luck here. Ubuntu still ignores any USB sticks.
Both times I've performed a full update. Both times USB stick was not present as /dev/sdX. I have impression that u100 is extremely unlucky for Linux users :( -- I have an MSI Wind U100. USB devices not mounted. I have a USB flash drive and disc drive plugged in and neither are recognized so they can't be used. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489268 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
