What I forgot to mention in my comment: This popup feature especially comes in handy when the user wants to navigate to a different subfolder in a parent folder. Say the user is in a folder called 'parent4', and his navigation bar shows this: > home > parent1 > parent2 > parent3 > parent4 If he wants to navigate to a folder in 'parent1', in Vista/7 he can simply click the little arrow next to 'parent1' and select the desired folder from the popup menu.
