This may be relevant: Linux kernel 2.6.33-rc3 has just been released. The release notes at http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/1/5/512 contain the following comment:
iwl3945: fix panic in iwl3945 driver Based on past kernel releases, I'd expect between 3 and 5 more RC's (at approximately 1-week intervals) before 2.6.33 final.
