In the meantime I realized, that I am not asked to enter my password
when I try to set the frequency. However, this was the case for Ubuntu
9.04.

Yes, I can set it in the console with sudo. But as user I get the
message:

Failed to acquire org.gnome.CPUFreqSelector: Connection ":1.62" is not
allowed to own the service "org.gnome.CPUFreqSelector" due to security
policies in the configuration file
