Binary package hint: ubiquity
I recently updated my 9.10 kernel 2.6.28.11 to 2.6.31-16 - 17 whenever i
try to boot with that kernel it detects the hardisk but doesnt boot to
the login screen. Instead it just shows the ubuntu login symbol and
quits.

when logging on with the kernel 2.6.31-17 ubuntu 9.10 starts the log in process
but just quits suddenly
