I know very little about that stuff so I'll take your word for it that
my bug is a duplicate of this one, however the backtrace attached in
this bug shows msgport.c initialized while on mine, gdb gives me the
following:

bt 0 gives me nothing, and I don't see an evolution-scalix-dbg package
available so not sure how I can get deeper with a backtrace...
I do have evolution-dbg and evolution-data-server-dbg installed too.
