Public bug reported: Binary package hint: banshee
Using: Banshe 1.6 Beta 2 (1.5.1) Ubuntu 9.10 This is definately a feature request: a genre filter pane. The preferences window should allow the user to select the panes he wants to be visible. The options would be: Artist, Album, and Genre. Yes, I know we can use the genre: tag in the search field, but this option is in other players (Rhythmbox, iTunes and Songbird come to mind) and is very useful for creating "on-the-fly" playlist (when a user wants to hear to all the songs in a particular genre). Also, artist and album are not enough when the music library goes beyond a few hundreds of songs, and I'm pretty sure that several users fall in this category. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=538005 This bug has already been treated there, and even a patch has been developed, then there is no reason why this is not implemented already. Included is a (not so good) mockup of what I'm talking about. ** Affects: banshee (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: banshee filter genre pane -- Add genre filter pane https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
