Gentoo user here using the unstable amarok 2.2.1.90 package.
I don't have configurations in my home folder such as .kde/share/apps/amarok
and .kde/share/config/amarok*.
I'll peruse the gentoo bug tracker later. Just letting you know it's not
Ubuntu-specific.
