Confirmed for me too, on karmic kubuntu (dist-upgraded from 9.04, where
I'd previously got the Canon MP600 USB working using instructions from
http://mp610.blogspot.com/2007/11/setup-canon-pixma-mp600-or-
mp610.html).

However, using dpkg -i --force-all leaves apt confused (because hal-
cups-utils conflicts with its replacement, system-config-printer-udev).
Instead I removed system-config-printer-{udev,common,kde,gnome), then
could dpkg -i without --force-all.
