Public bug reported: kak...@elefant-lin:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 kak...@elefant-lin:~$
Sound is working out of the box by default. But the mute LED on the nice sensor keypad is always on, independently if the sound is muted or not. This can solved by setting the appropriate model. kak...@elefant-lin:~$ sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf #STAC92HD71B* # #hp-dv4-1222nr HP dv4-1222nr (with LED support) # #http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1255723 #http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio-Models.txt options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv4-1222nr enable_msi=1 So far so good. But I found no way to get some noise from the subwoofer, which is also installed (and usable in Windows Vista). ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- HP Pavilion DV7-1160eg with karmic poor Sound-Support (mute LED and Subwoofer) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
