Yes, I'm still affected by it. It makes Open Office useless for anything other than a space to open documents for printing. I'm still using the same version of Ubuntu. My son uses Open Office from a Windows base, and he doesn't have this problem. My brother uses Open Office from a Ubuntu base and he doesn't have this problem.
I checked out the permissions to the file and discovered that as owner I did not have permission to write to the file, which seemed strange. I used chmod command to add the write permission to the file, but that didn't help. Any formatting still disappeared upon exiting the file. This bug really needs to be fixed. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have.
