I think that Windows XP doesn't use the EIST feature. Windows 7 does,
though, so I have this problem in Win7 and Ubuntu. I do realize this is
probably completely the wrong place for this discussion, but I am hoping
to get some info to use for leverage with Acer. Or perhaps enough info
from enough sources to take to some of the major technology news
outlets...
