I confirm this issue in 8.04... Usually, SSID is seen but association fail mostly at startup. More or less depending on updates... really more than less since maybe 6 months.
For a LTS version, such problems not solve since more than 2 years reveal al lack of testing (3945 was so common!). I'll never be willing to test upgrades versions as well: Supported ones must be maintained! I come back here, indeed, because power save since to make iwl3945 goes back with association in latest 2.6.33: This feature have been disabled. This driver (iwl) have replaced the old but working one (ipw) since more than 2 years and is still not reliable!!! ipw was... So the question is how to disable it on older releases for tests? -- iwl3945 (v1.2.25) still broken for WPA wifi networks on Thinkpad X60, Xubuntu 8.04 LTS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281868 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
