Hi parag, thanks for the detailed info, that's great. You seem to be doing different things in the root and user sessions, though, like running Firefox. I feel like a 10-20% difference between the sessions could easily be due to different usage styles. Could you run more scientific tests like browsing the exact same websites, using the exact same programs, or something like that? A reproducible test case is really necessary to pinpoint the problem.
